Im black and I must say that just because you've been married for a long time doesn't mean its gonna last forever. She should have left without a fight. Why stay somewhere, when your not wanted there.
Why people are still getting married is beyond me. Whats the point? Once someone gets tired of you they leave you or cheat on you. Marriage is for the old farming days. Theirs actually nothing in it for a man to get married. Their is no benefit in it for him. Lame

Helen is a portrayal of real women in the world. There are a lot of women who think because THEY work their whole married lives to make it last that it means something to their husbands. And to the good ones it does, but she grew up in a generation where if the husband wasn't happy it was because the wife did something wrong. When she dumped him in the tub she went on about 'bathe HIM, feed HIM, clothe HIM they say, what about me?'
So...since you don't believe in marriage and don't believe in relationships, you're going to be a hermit until you die, right?
I know what you mean, I saw this movie I keep thinking 'how *beep* naive and lame in the brain is she?', why is Tyler Perry's character always so dumb headed and over the head oblivous.
Negative, I wont be a hermit as you claim! I have friends in my life I have a girlfriend. Just because I don't want to get married doesn't mean iI can't have a lifetime partner in my life. In fact, my girl doesn't believe in marriage either after her divorce. Sorry you miserable.

The characters in his films and plays are based on real people in the world, and everybody knows somebody like Helen, everybody knows somebody like Madea, like Brown, like Joe, like Daddy Charles, like Cora, these characters portray real people in the world who go through similar things. I think that's kind of the idea to give the women who are like Helen a wakeup call, they get from their families all the time that if they really wanted their marriage to be good, they would have one, well it ain't always like that. Sometimes you've just got to leave and start all over again, however hard that is, and for a lot of women it is very hard for a variety of reasons. Until you know somebody who is in a situation like that, I guess it's just Greek to you.
Thats exactly why you dont put yourself in that situation to get let down.
People are allowed to change their minds anytime they want and theirs nothing you can do about it. I'm guessing your one of those people that would stay in a relationship even though you changed your mind about being togther any more. Thats how people get cheated on.
I just heard a story about a lady who pulled out of her marriage two days before the ceremony. EVerybody was pissed at her. Should she have waited until after they were married. Rather it was 2 days or two months before she called it off, it doesn't matter, it needed to be done.
Lol. Seems like people these days just want to screw then move on to the next person. That's great fun for a while, but not forever. I want something REAL, something deep. Let me tell you, all a *beep* gotta do is tell me the first time we go out on a date that he doesn't believe in marriage and I can walk...goodbye!
