Street Kings direct to dvd sequel out next year

Filming is underway in Axel Foley's neighborhood (that'd be Detroit) on a direct-to-video sequel to "Street Kings", David Hayter's 2008 police corruption flick starring Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker.

Reeves, it probably goes without saying, will not be back. And neither will Whitaker, Hugh Laurie, Chris Evans

Clifton Powell will be however, reprising his role as Sergeant Green from the earlier film. Ray Liotta has the lead. Shawn Hatosy (TVs "Southland") is also onboard.

In the film, Liotta plays an undercover detective, Marty, assigned to catch a cop killer. Hatosy plays his hot-head partner, Dan.

Presume this thing will be on DVD early next year.
