Well on the bit where Paddy is crossing the street in New York (I think) as a cowboy, that was in Manchester City Centre outside Slater's Menswear, in the deleted scenes, Im told you can see me stood in the background watching, with a backpack and a black leather jacket.

Mick bustin's Garage is opposite a pub called the Sparking Clog (renamed the sparking plug), which is in between Little Lever and Radcliffe. the bit where they train to dance is in a place called Crompton Lodges, in Moses Gate Country Park, which is in between Little Lever and Farnworth (the setting for Pheonix nights).
some of the shots are ment to appear as if M+P have travelled all over the country, but the shopping centre they steal the plasma screens from is the Crompton Place in Bolton (near boots) although they are supposed to be by the coast. Also when they go to Newcastle, the shots of the Tyne are mixed with shots of a takeaway called Sizzlers which is in Farnworth in Bolton.
it makes me wonder how many other shows are filmed like this!
In the pig episode, the pub they finally settle in is called the "Fat Butcher" in real life, on Max and Paddy they renamed it the Pat Butcher...excellent!
