How come colin and edith from radio one are doing the Commentary ?????????
No idea, but the DVD commentaries are as follows:
Episode 1: Colin Murray and Edith Bowman (Radio 1 DJs)
Episode 2: Shaun Ryder and Mark "Bez" Berry (Happy Mondays)
Episodes 3 & 4: Vernon Kay and Tess Daly (TV presenter married couple)
Episode 5: Keith Harris, Orville and Cuddles (Ventriloquist and his puppets)
Episode 6: Stuarts Hall and Maconie (Radio personalities)

I was soooo annoyed that it wasn't Peter Kay and Patrick McGuinness doing the commentary, they were hilarious in the Phoenix Nights ones. Grrr! Keith Harris and Orville?!?!!

For me the commentaries are the only thing that let the dvd down.

shareMmm, ditto on both counts. I really enjoyed the Phoenix Nights commentaries (and I'm not generally a 'commentary' person), but as soon as I got 30 seconds into the first episode when Colin and Edith started gabbing - switched them RIGHT off. Didn't bother with the rest.
Would have loved to have had Peter and Paddy on that!!! I was really disappointed when they weren't!!

That does sound like a crappy commentary selection. As if Colin and Edith aren't on Radio1 enough they gotta get in on DVDs now. I'm glad I didn't buy the DVD when it came out and I'm not goona now thanks to you guys, besides its not like M*P: Road To Nowhere won't be repeated on C4/E4/More4 for the next 10 years!
