I went to highschool with one of the actors in this flick.
"Frank Lentini". Apparently,he only has a supporting role,i'll have to re-watch this flick. It'll be hard though cause these types of flicks are really only good for one viewing usually but then again, there ARE some particularly funny parts in this drama/comedy. But anyway, yeah,Frank Lentini. He was a good guy in highschool days. He Once beat up this bully kid in gym class. Frank was also an avid amatuer boxer and pretty good athlete overall.
He once helped find my contact lenses that got knocked out of my eyeballs while playing an intense game of indoor soccer in gym class. He went on to become a NYC cop actually, and then obviously hooked up with people in the movie business. I worked for awhile with Frank's Dad, Frank Sr in a grocery store back in the 90's. His Dad was a cool guy too. He Used to elaborate about some of his son's amatuer fights, how he was an underdog/picked to lose against one particular opponent and then went on to really throw a whoopin on his fierce opponent.
Another thing i remember is while on the bus heading towards a highschool varsity baseball game(I pitched by the way),i used to hear Frank talking about his after school job doing Masonary work. I had an uncle that did Masonary work after he graduated Hs. He went on to become a decorated Marine. That kind of work really builds you up.
