Does anyone know who played the judge...I missed the end credits and it's bothering me...I know I've seen him before in something. Thanks a bunch!

Yes it was Ron Silver in an excellent performance. If i were ever on trial in NY I'd want a judge as fair and as honest as this one. What a nice touch from the typical 'paid' judges we see in so many movies.
shareEven before reading the post to which I'm now replying, I figured out by navigating around the pages for this movie, particularly the pictures, that it was Ron Silver who played the judge and maybe I'm not understanding how this site works, but why wasn't Silver and the name of the judge included in the cast listing, and why is it still not there? Silver is a well-known actor and the role of the judge was a major one and there were pictures of him from the premiere. I don't understand.
sharehe is listed about half way down
Marcia Jean Kurtz ... Sara Stiles
Ron Silver ... Judge Finestein
Louis Guss ... Court Clerk

Geez, what about Ron Silver's performance as Alan Dershowitz in "Reversal of Fortune"? Masterful.
Not to mention the great Paul Mazursky film, "Enemies: A Love Story" -- Silver was wonderful in that.
I'm surprised there's so much ignorance about Ron Silver's best work.
