Great, another remake....
I think remakes are great when maybe showing a 'classic 'storylie updated for modern thoughts and technology. That said, I really can't see how this classic film needs the 'remake' treatment. Ah well.
shareAnd Hollywood is also doing an adaptation to Paul Gallico's novel. Wasting about $140 Million. To be released some time next year. Kind of reminds of Joan of Arc. There was a TV movie that had just come out on CBS back in 1999 while Hollywood was showing trailers of "The Messenger" in theaters. The Messenger bombed but I thought it was a great film. It was A bit strange for Americans. The French loved it, of course.
