Has anyone gone to the NBC site?

I just watched the trailer. But one can never rely on a trailer to judge a movie. I also viewed the stills. There are 2 of Peter Weller. In the first one, PW looks lost and like he's saying to himself.." What am I doing in this picture??" LOL. And, in the second one, he looks pissed off, and like he's thinking..."I am going to kill (whomever) got me involved in this project!!" ROFL
I dont remember what happened to the captain in the other movies, but am sure he dies, and PW wont be in the movie for very long. But it looks like Rutger Hauer will be in it for the majority.
I still cant figure out why someone thought this movie needed to be re-made, ESPECIALLY for a "made for tv mini-series" (sigh)

In the novel we assume that the Captain and the other officers get killed on the bridge (we are told that everything above/now below the ballroom was completely flooded/destroyed/whatever).

In the film (1972 film) of course the Captain (Leslie Neilson!!!) gets killed along with everyone else on the bridge when the wave shatters the windows.

***SPOILERS***

And of course, in this latest one the Captain (Peter Weller!!! The terrorists don't stand a chance against ROBOCOP!!!) is shot by one of the terrorists in the ballroom. A sad end (for Weller's career).

what's even sadder is that i knew Peter Weller was shot because the stills on the Hallmark Channels site have a picture of a terrorist/waiter with a gun in the ballroom and Captain Weller with a red stain on his coat. I put 2 and 2 together because I'm smart that way. But these pics were up on the site as of last spring. So much for suspense.
