Eh, it was shlock, but it was semi-entertaining shlock

...i mostly liked the movie for it's cast (Peter Weller, Rutger Hauer, STEVE GUTTENBERG!, C. THOMAS HOWELL!, Bryan "FX" Brown, Adam "Jayne from Firefly" Baldwin.. A bunch of hot chicks)..

The effects were sort of MEH, but then again, it's a made-for-tv movie..

They had most of the important stuff included from the original, although i was a bit disappointed that Hauer made it out alive..

Gene Hackman would've insured he sacrificed his life SOMEHOW..

It's definitely not as good as the original, but...having grown up watching the original over and over, this wasn't a HORRIBLE remake...

The terrorism thing was a bit lame, but.. Sign of the times, ya know?

Oh, and did anyone else love the piece of BONE sticking out of Howell's arm?

Personally, I love to think the entire terrorist plot was added in, just so Adam Baldwin had people to kill and pistol-whip...

Then it's bearable to an extent.

Not as good as the original, or the novel for that matter, but a decent attempt. Even if Manny Rosen and Linda Rogo didn't make the cut.

It was nice to see that they carried over the Shelbys, even if they were sort of changed... but hey, atleast the father's name was still Richard...

You know... I that is one thing I don't understand. Watching a movie just because of a certain or actress being in it.

Maybe I am a bit different than many... I watch movies that I think look interesting, regardless of who is in it. (Okay... one exception... I REFUSE to watch "Meet the Fockers" beause Streisand is in it)

There are no "prequels"... there are no "originals"... there is only one Saga...
