For all those naysayers who say a boat can't sind from a hole in the side, just look at the cruise ship that went down off Greece from striking a reef.

If you're referring to the incident I think you are, you should look at it again. The ship in Greece did NOT CAPSIZE from the hole. It sank upright. This is the point most people have an issue with. The Titanic sank from a hole in its side but it also went down upright.
The ship in Greece may also have turn on its side near the end but for the most part remained upright for the duration of the event.
The Sea Diamond capsized just slightly before completely going under.
shareActually, she capsized as she sank. One of the last pictures taken before she sank is of her bow thrusters sticking out of the water ... ala the Poseidon in Wolfgang Petersen's 2006 version of this story.
