did anyone else think that the whole 'relationship' thing was just icky? she's in early 20's and he looks ancient! i was kinda creeped out.

Yes he was. You obviously haven't checked out C. Thomas Howell's profile. Actually, he suffered some sort of medical trauma at the time and was hospitalized for a long time which was why he looked so old. Usually Howell looks a lot younger than his age.

I was thinking the same thing. He looked way too old for her. And while we're on the subject, am I the only one who thought the years have not been good to C. Thomas Howell?

There was a big age gap between the daughter and the doctor, but it didn't bother me. Stranger things have happened! At least the girl's parents would be able to rest comfortably. After all, the doctor is charming, caring, and he has a professional career. It did strike me as funny that the girl's father and the doctor were only about 8 years apart, but they'd probably be able to relate to each other better than the father would with some younger buck.

If C. Thomas Howell and Amber Sainsbury were playing their real ages (39 and 25), that's only a 14-year difference. Not an egregious gap by anyone's standards. As previously stated, C. Thomas Howell had just come off an extremely debilitating illness and still looked it.

He has a classic look that is handsome and realistic. He always comes across as a gentleman. Take this in consideration and think of the jerk her father was. Who wouldn't fall for C. Thomas

That 14 year difference bothered you, but the 33 year difference between Mr & Mrs Anderson didn't?!!!

Of course no one would have batted an eyelid had it been a 20 year old son and 39 yr old woman now would they?
