2005 saw lots of movies in this vain. hill billy town. nothing happens. movie ends.

For people who like this sort of movie, it is a fascinating movie, and a lot happens.It just isn't your sort of movie. I understand your frustration, and it is a shame that you saw it.We have a rating system about sex and violence, but we really need a rating system that will suggest strongly to you that you just are not going to like this movie. And that I probably am going to like it.

It is definitely an art house film, and not for all tastes. I agree with other poster that there's a lot going on. I just saw it for the third time, and let some more of it sink in. Of course, the best part of it is the wonderful use of Syreeta singing Harmour Love. The film is worth it for putting that song into, or back into, public consciousness.
