The really pretty song

OK, there are 2 really pretty songs in this film: the hymn that George and 2 other guys sing (completely beautiful and moving), and the one on the soundtrack that plays during the end credits, and in the beginning when Madeleine and George get together.

Did anyone else backtrack so you could hear those songs again?! :-)

I loved those songs too. The one from opening and ending credits is "Harmour Love" by Syreeta: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w24L7yIRSjY and I listen to it probably every single day since I watched Junebug for the first time about a year ago. Even if the movie was really bad (I liked it but if it was), I would be glad I watched it just to discover this song.
The other one sung by George is Trinity Hymnal #694 "Come Home": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OO6RwS3BBu8.

I was really impressed with Alessandro's singing....and the trivia to the movie says he had to do this cold without rehearsing....and he still nailed it. Very beautifully done.

I thought the song from the soundtrack (not the George hymn) was very nice and catchy. Having said that, it would be on my shortlist for least fitting soundtrack songs of all time.

To justify how that song fits what happens in the film - that would take some monumental contriving.

The hymn that George so beautifully sang with the other two men is "Softly and Tenderly".
