The European artist biopic "Klimt," starring John Malkovich, and the Danish black comedy "Adam's Apples" are coming to North America courtesy of indie distributor Outsider Films.
Chilean writer-director Raul Ruiz's "Klimt" centers on the late 19th century Austrian artist Gustav Klimt (Malkovich) and his many affairs, including a sexually charged romance with his muse (Saffron Burrows).
Outsider has all North American rights to the 96-minute producer's cut of "Klimt," which premiered at last year's Rotterdam Film Festival alongside the 130-minute director's cut. According to an Outsider rep, the producer's cut was the only version available to the company.
Anders Thomas Jensen's "Apples" follows a neo-Nazi, a rapist and a politically motivated thief doing community service in the company of an upbeat priest with a history of tragedy who believes he's battling Satan. The comedy was Denmark's 2005 submission for the foreign-language Oscar.

I saw this movie at the Cleveland International Film Festival last year and absolutely loved it. Anyone else excited that it is now getting its deserved theatrical release?
