Too Hollywood
After seeing the opening scene, the film grasbed me. Who is this Ivan person, is he that religious, or totally naive?
All went well, until the ending of the scene when Adam is "trying to kill" Ivan. Church doors slamming, lightening bolts or some kind of electricity over the ground and ofcourse into the tree, was a matter of time anyhow. This was way over the top and gave some -trying-to-impress-Hollywood-feeling. And then the film went (for the most part) from one cliche into the other. Reminded me of From Dusk till Dawn. I liked the film, but I thought the film had more to offer.
