eventually cast for a hollywood remake?
imo, steve carel as ivan would be the perfect choice!
shareseconded.
And Zack Galifianakis as Gunnar
You know there is no way that Hollywood does a remake of that movie, right? I doubt the American masses they are aiming movies at would get it.

Yeah, but it's fun to think of the casting if it did ever happen. Steve Carell (spelling?) as Ivan would be a great choice as long as he doesn't over-act, and the idea of Galifianakis as Gunnar is perfect! Paprika's character could be played by Maggie Gyllinhaal, she does well as formerly wild, hard living women. And as far as Adam goes, maybe a skinhead version of Ray Liotta or Sean Penn? Both might be too old for the role. Then who? ((Forgive me,too lazy to check name spellings))
shareI forgot
Sean Penn would be a great choice, despite his age.
Johnny Lee Miller as Adam?
But then again, the concept would be lost on Hollywood.

A Hollywood remake would destroy everything that is good about this movie: the BLACK comedy and seriousness.
But for argument's sake, Christian Bale would be a good choice for Ivan basing on his performances in The Machinist and Equilibrium (if you think about it, those two characters have much in common with Ivan).
yeah right, but i think it would work
only who'd be a suitable choice for adam??
as they are intending to remake "The Intouchables"...so why not also this one??
No no no
shareSteve Carell as Ivan? Never ever.
Will Graham: I don't find you that interesting.
Hannibal Lecter: You will.
I could see Christian Bale as Ivan
Michael Chilkis (sp?) as Adam
John Goodman as Gunnar
I see Liam Neeson as Ivan.
