Does Nikolaj Lie Kaas have to show up in every single Danish movie?

It started out as a running gag for me, but it gets scarier each time. And I have seen a good share of Danish films so far. I believe, Festen was the only exception here.

It was just a random bit part. Don't they have more than 10 good actors to choose from?

Yeah, I've noticed that too. I think the Danish film industry is small but powerful.

At first it kind of annoyed me ALWAYS having to see the same actors, but I got used to it and somehow I could also say that I'm starting to like it. Other recurring actors are Ulrich Thomsen, Mads Mikkelsen, Paprika Steen, Kim Bodnia and Jakob Cedergren.

I have NEVER seen a Danish film with at least ONE of the actors above

Don't you know it's common knowledge that it is a Danish Film Institute prerequisite for Nikolaj to be in the cast in somewhere, shape or form?

haha I thought the exact same while watching this! I find it amusing to spot the cameos and small parts to crowbar them all into each film! Love Danish films like this.

LOL! So true! But i always like when that happens, because I imagine they are all friends in real life and the fun they must be having whilst working together...

Actually, Nikolaj Lie Kaas in small cameo role is a funny feature here. And Søren Pilmark is missing here. Check out movie Blinkende lygter. These guys are friends in real life. They play very often together. And the chemistry between them is incredible.
