Not that I'm ungrateful for the special but when do the rest of the episodes for the new season air?

reply

Yea, I'd like to know as well

reply

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure The Venture Bros is like Leap Years, one happens every 4 years

I hate you for making sense. 

It's more like every two years.

reply

It should be out sometime this year, the special was produced as part of season 6 which means they should be well into production of the rest of the season.

reply

Why is there ANY reason to believe they're well into production..theyre done..they're dry ..it has nothing to do with animation..they no longer have anything to say..loved the series, but one HALF season in 3 years??

reply

April 18th according to the adult swim website.

reply

That's the "next showing," not the season premiere. I'd bet a nice sum that it's just a rerun.

I read an article where,at a press conference, hammer complained that fans were ungrateful !! the arrogance..fans support the show, which is how he makes a living, and the FANS are ungrateful for being anxious to see more episodes after almost 3 years..what a douche..

reply

Hammer always comes off as a douche in interviews. To me, anyway. Ungrateful is a hell of a thing to say.

It's not like they're doing much past voice work so why not pump it out?

reply

Anyone who thinks it should be so easy for them to produce episodes more quickly might gain some insight by reading this article/interview: http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/6858129/venture-bros-season-six-jackson-publick-q-a

I can certainly see why Hammer claims fans are ungrateful, just by reading this board. I'm also sure he knows there's an entire range of reactions from fans. I am sure he is aware how desirous we are of more episodes more quickly, but he is also aware that most of us are appreciative of his and Pubilck's continued commitment to the series even though they could probably make more money much more easily if they gave it up.

Hammer is still a douche, though. He wrote this really stupid rant about a documentary called "Tim's Vermeer" were he was mad as hell that they implied that Vermeer cheated with his technique except that the guys that made the documentary explicitly stated in the documentary that they didn't think he was cheating by using that technique and that they really admired him. They were just testing this theory about how he made his paintings and their evidence is very sound and very interesting, too. It's a great movie but Hammer missed the point entirely and his long ass rant was just stupid. He had struck my as being a pretentious douchenozzle just from the commentary tracks and interviews but that post he wrote really made me lose respect for the guy. It doesn't hamper my enjoyment of the show at all, though. I just don't like him.
