will this ever get a region 2 dvd release??

I really want to own this film, and prefer region 2. been waiting soo sooo long!!!
it's my favourite film, ever!!

It's coming on 12th January 2009 from Third Window Films. No details on the extras yet, but they should be available soon.

I've just watched the R2 and I'm annoyed to say that it's non-anamorphic.

In Germany (which has also Region Code 2), this movie was released on DVD in 2006, containing german and japanese Language. However, it's released under the name "Kamikaze Girls".

I just brought it from HMV yesterday after my mate recomended it. Its in japanese with english subs. The box says theres interviews and trailers on the special features but I havent watched those bits yet
