yep, Japan, especially Tokyo is for some reason very tolerant for many kinds of clothes, and also for cross-gender. there are many men dressing like women and vice versa on TV and the streets. you'll see men wearing lolita dress on the street in Harajuku.

reply

yes.. they do.. and they are VERY hot. just look at some Jrock bands. they look like women, but all of them are men.. Look for Mana. its a man, but s(h)e dresses like a women and never dresses like a man.. and s(h)e never talks in public, no one ever heard him speak... but hes gorgeous.. all of the men are... and you can look up Gothic Lolita, which Mana has her own clothing line basically.

and yes, if i ever go to Japan, hopefully next year, i would be in shopping heaven, and i HATE shopping for clothes. but its probably because i dont really like the styles, but in Japan i would go crazy..

And i was thinking about "what if i buy the clothes, then come back to America. What would people think" i think they would think im more wierder and they would love the clothes at the same time. I like Gothic Lolita too.. Japan is the best.

I own a couple Lolita dresses. Mostly black, red, or white, though. I'm planning on buying more.

I get my stuff on-line, but I would love to walk around Harajuku and see the people/stores/Etc. It sounds like a fabulous place. =o It is my vision of what Heaven is.

Oh it's my dream to walk around Harjuku ^^

I would love to dress lolita as my everyday style...but it's hard to find and not so common in Canada. Ooooo harajuku would be better than amazing!

I love this movie so much!

it is very hard to find in canada i agree! BtSSB is apparently setting up shop in san fransisco...not fair! lolita is really hard to find if you're bigger than an A cup in the boobage department...and taller than like 5"0 XD

It's probably just my rebellious nature, but I love to get all dolled up in Lolita attire and just go out, anywhere. I live in California too, but I just moved here...I get a lot of stares and a few people actually ask me questions about it, but I just think it's a lot of fun. ^_^

Why do you care?
I wear whatever I want to wear, and if people stare, I just don't care. I hate those smartass 14 year olds who asks me if it's Halloween though.

It's not THAT odd.

I think ppl that don't give a rat's ass to societal norms (provided theres no violation of anyone's inalienable rights) are HOT! I wonder how the world would be if everyone could legitimetly be themselves...I bet alot more ppl would fashion smiles. :D

I did find it a bit odd, Momokos dress sense and all but hey its her thing
