Does anyone know if Anna Tsuchiya is half american or anything like that? She does have an english first name and she does look like she's a bi-racial child.

According to the Kamikaze Girls American website, Anna Tsuchiya's father is an American.

Does this mean American as in Caucasian, making her hapa (mixed race)? Because he could be Japanese American (Japanese ethnicity born in America).

She does look hapa to me. Mixed race people always seem to come out looking so gorgeous!

I read somewhere while I was trying to find out about the movie that her Father is Russian American, I forget where I read that too though.

Being part russian makes sense. I know a litle Japanese and and her last name did not seem japanese to me but was not sure.

You meant to ask if she's half caucasian/european? American does not mean "white". American is a nationality, not ethnicity.

Anyway, she is mixed. Although, she has said on Japanese TV that she cannot speak English or any other language aside from Japanese.

Her father is from Buffalo, NY of Polish decent. She was bilingual when she was a child, but has forgotten most of her English.
