how anyone can NOT love this movie. it is so beautifully done. I love every single aspect of it. The story, the cast, the lighting, the wardrobe, the soundtrack. Everything flows so beautifully.
Amazing. :)

I absolutely agree!! I especially love the soundtrack. It just flew so well with the movie and every particular scene. The actors were incredible as well. The story was amazing!

People don't like it? I found it really enjoyable, but that's just me. I can't believe how much Dakota has grown up!

I loved it, too. It's a pity that some people just see the racial aspects of the movie. To me, it was a movie about a young girl being rescued, and finally getting the love that she so desperately needed and wanted. Beautifully filmed, excellent performances by all. I can't wait to read the book.

I saw it today on HBO or Encore...one of the movie channels.

I loved it, I thought alicia keyes was really good, took me a while to work out it was her tho! I saw it tonight on TV but i wish i had seen it on the big screen, it was really beautiful and i want all my friends to see it :)

Mom mom recommended this movie to me and I was SO not into it. The name, the theme...just NO. It brought to mind the Great Debaters, which I hated. And I've almost completely stopped taking her recommendations seriously and never watch. However, I watched only because I was bored and ended up loving from the core of my very heart and I'm glad I saw it. Now I want to read the book.

I know!! It's such a beautiful story<3
I'm recommending it to all my girlfriends. I think with this movie girls appreciate it more because it's a tale of sisterhood.
