for one thing, I don't want to see
Jennifer Hudson & Alicia Key's dry acting,
a stupid story plot
and everyone catering to a little
blonde haired girl, like in the Shirley Temple
movies.

Jennifer Hudson was actually VERY good! i was surprised.
But yeah... Alicia Keys needs to stick to music. Her acting was borderline pitiful.

I didn't realize musicians were only allowed to sing, not expand their career by acting. Side note, not all actors start off great! They get better as they go.

You say that you refuse to watch the movie; why not read the book? Neither the book, nor the movie for that matter, are about people catering to a Shirley Temple-ish character. The story is actually quite beautiful, and in my opinion, it was brought to life perfectly in this movie adaptation. If you read the book, you would see how well-casted this movie actually was. Try to keep an open mind!

1) Why, on earth, would you go to a website for a movie you've already decided not to see? It makes no sense.

It is a well-written, excellent story with competent acting. We need more films like it. I am disappointed that some of our veteran actresses weren't used.
Of the thousands of actors throughout filmdom, few start out great.
Queen L. is really good and JH shows much potential.
