the 'stripping' scene

So I just watched this movie, and the part that I've read so much about on here where she makes Buddy and Grasshopper strip at gunpoint was not there. Is this another cut that they had to make after all the controversy? I'm interested to know just how much of the movie was cut out.

They cut it due to controversy.

What was shown at Sundance was a rough cut and the director and editor made aesthetic descisions on what to cut. One reason for cutting her speaking/singing after the rape was to show how her "voice" had been taken.

The world does not revolve around Dakota Fanning.

Gee after 7 years of thinking about the script and going over and over it, spending money to film it, then people get all upset about it, it gets cut.

Funny how the crew lost their voice too.

You... are very interesting. I'm not sure if I mean that as a compliment or a backhanded compliment or an insult as of yet.

I'm not psycho, just a little loopy.

Did you think That's because it was never there to begin with

reply

i still dont see what all the contraversy was for cuz i've seen movies that i would think would brought more of it, but i guess only reason hounddog had so much was cuz dakota was in it.

reply

yes, that's it. That was the only reason.
