3 conclusions I've come to after seeing the movie...

1. It's just not that good of a movie... I mean, the story was so boring that I don't think I remember much of it.

2. The rape scene wasn't as terrible as I was expecting it to be. I read the press after it was released, and I thought it was going to be like any other violent rape scene I've seen in movies (which would've been extra-apalling given the age of the victim). In this case though, you only see her face, and you just use your own imagination.

3. Dakota Fanning is a pretty good actress. Even though it was a boring movie, and a dumb script, you could tell you were watching a very talented young actress.
