I saw this in the theater and enjoyed it immensely. It's challenging and is luxurious in presentation.
I do say it deserves a thorough viewing and not a 15 minute drive-by.
Not sure what you want from a film, other than I guess what you expect. Freddy Got Fingered?
It's a thoughtful, serious film, a meditation on Life and Death and Love and Time and History and Fantasy.
Not a masterpiece, but if we can sit through Ingmar Bergman to try and get the feeling for what he's trying to express, I think we can give The Fountain our time as well.
Or just default to the junk food/movie aisle. MCU everyone?

i don't watch superhero/comic book movies. the fountain was a bit too esoteric for me.
