David R Ellis relied more on Fire/Explosions.

Other than the Plane Explosion, and the Tanning Beds..
James Wong and Chris Morgan were all about the blood and gore. Stabbings and splattering. Final Destination 5 followed some of that as well. Final Destination 2 was half and half.
