The two main characters know what's going on, that theyre gonna die in some horrible way and yet they STILL put themselves in some dangerous setting where a million things could kill them. They go to a gym, a hardware store, a fireworks show with lots of explosives, and make little to no effort to urge people to get the hell out of there. What the hell are they thinking??? Plus, they were hoping that they could take them all off The Design altogether. If they had just done nothing, then they would have all died anyway, but by actually trying they had a chance.
They did make an effort to urge people to get out - the other victims made little to no effort to listen.
If you want to see dumb Final Destination characters, look at Sam and Molly in Final Destination 5. I liked them, but they choose to have a moment together surrounded by lit candles when they already know about Death's Design. Yeah, Death's not going to find a way to kill anyone in this scene...(!)
Amazingly, no one dies in that scene, but I still find it pretty dumb that someone who knows he's on Death's list would willingly light dozens of candles.

They at least succeed in saving some people. Also, Kevin/Wendy knew they were in zero danger until same of the others died, so no stupid
FD2's leads were far more stupid. They got everyone else killed
