I'm planning on watching the first Final Destination movie seeing as I love the concept, and the second one doesn't seem too shabby either.
But this one? I'm not sure, it has gotten pretty mixed reviews...
In order to like it, what should I expect?
(Just so you know, I don't plan on watching part 4 & 5, I just want to know if this one's worth a watch)
Hell yes!.
Characters in movie are so well know to each other that you think they really have grow up with each other.
I thought this movie was pretty good, very underrated. It's the most flawed part so far, but it was a helluva lot of fun. I loved the Choose Your Fate extra, it made the experience really interesting.

share4, in my view, is the only one worth skipping--bad acting, terrible CGI, entirely predictable from start to finish, and the whole thing feels like a parody of the series.
At any rate, in case you haven't seen it, 3 doesn't bring anything new to the series (except for a completely new cast and more gore) and it's sorta lacking in atmosphere. However, it's still a fairly interesting and very fun thrill ride. And personally, while it may not rely on atmosphere like the first two, I think it's worth watching more than the second one; the big pile up is the only thing 2 has over 3. All in all, the familiar concept remains fresh, the acting is decent to good, the deaths are some of the most creative in the series, and lastly, the ending is quite memorable. Not a MUST SEE but there's no reason one should keep away from it.

I liked 4, even though I know it's hated, and I feel it could have been done better. I love it, and it's actually my favorite, or at least the one I care about the most (which, would be my favorite, yes?)
Watch them all. People will tell you to skip the fourth one, but I would suggest watching it, and making up your own mind.
I thought the second one was great! Awesome humor, very good actors and characters and not to mention a hilarious ending. It wasn't as creepy as the first, but I highly enjoyed it.
I will give the third one a watch though. Hell, I might watch all of them, just to form an opinion on the whole franchise.
Woah, how do you not plan on seeing 5 when that's among the best ones? It's the closest in tone/style to 1 and the film with the highest Rotten Tomatoes ranking. I prefer 1, but
This did have good leads and good kills, but otherwise it's pretty weak. And the supporting cast makes 4's characters look spectacular

My point was more that it's unheard of for them to LIKE part 5 in a horror franchise, let alone a slasher franchise. Not that Part 1 (my fav) is bad. But no, Part 5 is really good. I'd rank the series:

I thought part 5 was decent, but pretty overhyped. Some of the acting was bad and the dialogue at times dumb. It's fairly solid though. I'd personally rank it like this:
Final Destination: 10/10 (Classic)
Final Destination 2: 9/10 (Absolutely great, one of my favorite horror sequels)
Final Destination 3: 8/10 (Good, entertaining movie. Loved the Choose Your Fate aspect of it, and it still is fun to watch even without that feature.)
Final Destination 5: 7/10 (Nice watch for a boring Friday night. It's not perfect though, far from it.)
Final Destination 4: 4/10 (A really, really bad movie. Utter garbage.)
