Could've Ashley and Ashlyn Survived?

When the plank of wood collapses and traps them both, the ends of the board were the only thing that kept them inside the tan machines. Just before things got a little heated (Ha ha), wouldn't it be possible that one of them pulled the board towards them, so that the other end is released and that let's say Ashley is freed, and then grabs the board from Ashlyn's side therefore releasing her too?

I know that they would have to die sometime later, but it would save them from being roasted to death at least.

Could this have worked if they cooperated when they still have VERY minimal time left before the tan beds started to burn?

I think they were pretty much doomed as soon as they got naked in a horror movie.

I dont know if they realized that a board got stuck in between their beds. Plus, they started panicking. Perhaps, if the guy who worked there hadn't used a bottle of lotion as a doorstopper, he would have been to able to help them out on time.

ahhh... it's a movie dude. They could have grown 4 more boobs, filled them with helium and floated away. I understand why you want to apply "logic" to the situation but with all the impossibilities in this movie, this is one of the lesser ones to worry about.
