spain has had 7 men's slam singles champions in the open era, making up tennis' invincible spanish armada, a 21-strong slam singles championship force:

andrés gimeno
manuel orantes
sergi bruguera
carlos moyá
albert costa
juan carlos ferrero
rafael nadal

the uk only one:
