I hate Riggs!
He is so bland,... so mehh, I don't care about him, I don't know if is the actor, his face , I just don't like him!!

I also hate Riggs. Some of this might overlap onto the actual actor. He doesn't "match up" with Meredith at all, there is never an explanation for his half-American/half-New Zealand accent. I am not fond of the New Zealand accent, but pick one accent and stick with it, please. He is too short for Meredith. He looks like Tom Cruse. He is always coming on to Meredith, even in totally inappropriate situations. I can't stand looking at him. I am at the point I am going to have to fast-forward when he is in a scene.

shareOkay count me in I sure as hell do NOT like Riggs at all, and sorry to the posts who say he's better looking than Dempsey (McDreamy/Derek) - NO way in HELL is Riggs better looking than Derek. I mean Derek had charisma and the chemistry b/w Meredith/Derek was off the charts AMAZING !!! The actors who portrayed Meredith/Derek had an "old school Hollywood couple" feel to them like in the old movies. Spencer/Tracy, Bogart/McCall, and many others... Ellen/Patrick just had the IT factor when it came to playing a couple on television, and I NEVER wanted to miss a scene b/w them; It's sad the way something's end but I will NEVER forget McDreamy/Meredith - ONE of my favorite couples on television show.. I have a couple of others but we talking about Grey's Anatomy and sorry but Riggs just doesn't "fit" w/Meredith at all, it all seems so forced.

Cruise is 5'7".
But Patrick might have worn lifts when filmed standing close to Ellen, because in a lot of photos he looks about five inches taller than her 5'7", yet he still looks obviously shorter than male cast members listed as 6 feet in other photos. share

I don't want Meredith to be alone or anything, but he's also so horrible for her I think. His character was so unlikable when he was basically chasing Meredith around like a horny teenager.
He's aggressively going after Mer while Maggie is passive-aggressive after Riggs in a school girl way
shareI don't hate him, but that's really because I don't care about him enough TO hate him. He's extraordinarily bland and has zero sex appeal/charisma. If his character was written better, I might have had a different view because the actor himself is good looking. His personality is just so boring.
shareYeah, he isn't written very well, but he's better-looking than Derek. The only thing McDreamy about Derek was his hair. His face always reminded me of a rat or a ferret.

I adore Nathan. The guy is very funny, is very handsome & sexy with a great body, he has tons of charisma and he's not bland at all. I like him much better than Derek. And he's got amazing chemistry with Meredith.

I like him a lot. I like his playfulness mixed with his gravitas that makes him a grownup. I like the idea of Riggs and Mer. I don't feel like he'd be replacing Derek nor would Mer be replacing his ex; they'd just be lucky to find someone to love again, someone who understands what they've been through.

shareI don't really hate him. I feel totally apathetic towards him which is way worse because that means he's just wasting screen time for me. Hating TV characters on the other hand can be quite fun.
