They aged them because there was a time jump.

Zola was 4 when Derek died and 5 when the came back after almost a year away. Then there were a few mini time jumps after that where it was a few months between the episodes and now she's six.

Bailey was almost 2 when Derek died and now a year and now a year and a half later it has been stated that he is 3 years old.

Baby Ellis was born 9 months after Derek died. It has been over a year since she was born on the show and she is depicted as just over a year old.

Tuck was born in season 2 which took place a decade before the current season. Tuck is now about 10 years old, as depicted. They haven't shown Tuck since season 10 which took place about 4 years prior.

All the kids have aged normally.

They mention Derek almost constantly. Cristina, Lexie and Mark are all easier to forget than Derek. The thousand other long-gone characters are almost never brought up (I totally forgot about Denny until they started mentioning the clinic).

I don't know how fans are gonna forget about someone nobody stops talking about.
