Denny Duqette Clinic
The mention of the clinic and his character may be a wink to how relevant JDM is at the moment, about to hit the screens again as Negan in TWD! (or maybe thats just me)

It's not so much what KH said about the quality of the show, it's how the media at the time exploded and created a scandal. Frankly, it made the show look bad. This was when the show was still at its peak and it was all everyone wanted to talk about. Today, it's different. It's no longer an Emmy winner, it's not scoring the 10+ million viewers. It's still a hit show, but it's been on long enough where actors can be a bit more candid about the show and it's not such a big deal.
The bigger thing is that KH let her work on Grey's suffer when she was doing movies. She didn't show up to work, or was late, etc. And she asked to be let out of her contract. Shonda did not fire her. KH basically quit and essentially burned her bridges with Shonda. Just like in any workplace, the employer will not hire back an employee who left on bad terms.
Isaiah is a different story. Shonda never wanted to let him go, that was all ABC who fired him. ABC is also responsible for getting Brooke Smith fired too. So it's no surprise that Isaiah was brought back ONE TIME to wrap up Cristina's story. Notice he was never on the Grey's set and all his scenes were with only Sandra Oh.

See, cardinal, here is a perfect example of me giving you a friendly and thought out reply to one of your comments and you completely ignore it. Yet you like to reply to the more negative comments to perpetuate drama and give you an excuse to attack others.
shareMe too. He is going to be so good in the new season of TWD!
shareI think it was to set up that working in that place really is a form of punishment for Alex. It wouldn't hold the same significance if it was just "the clinic."
shareI also thought it was a little bit of a jab to Alex. "Go work in the clinic named after the ex-fiancé of the wife that left you".
shareI saw it as the fact to remind us that the clinic still exists. Just like the jab Meredith gave Nathan that technically she is his boss since she is part owner of the hospital. I wish they would talk about the board more often
shaream I the only one who was shocked to see the clinic was still opened? I swear I remember them closing it in Season 8
