shareI think she is meant to be slightly irritating playing the younger (goofy) sister. I think she is new to relationships (romantic and sibling) and it can be irritating but also entertaining. I would have preferred Mer to just come clean but she wasn't ready and the coverup/lie has went too far for her to admit. Mer is wounded and coping

Agreed. I can understand wanting to avoid him during free time, but at work she needs to act like a professional, especially considering her position at the hospital.
