He'll end up making a split second decision that could have went really bad and could have affected him for the rest of his life. He will decide that Alex shouldn't pay for the rest of his life over a decision he made in an instant and drop the charges. I would love for it to be more subtle than that, but this is Grey's Anatomy.

shareAt this point, it doesn't matter if DeLuca drops the charges. The DA's office, having seen Alex's past record in the hospital, could opt to continue with the charges on their own. I think Alex will end up being guilty of a misdemeanor, or maybe he will plead guilty to a misdemeanor, but not do time.

I'm thinking a friend or relative of Deluca comes into the ER or clinic and appears to have no chance to survive and Karev saves their life. Or, Deluca has a patient that he made a mistake and the patient might die, and Karev comes along and saves the patient and never tells on Deluca, and Deluca is forever grateful that Karev saved his career.
shareIeuw so corny. I never got GA to be corny, it's drama and yes, Maggie is corny, but that;s it. I hope what happens is that the judge will consider Alex bringing Deluca to the hospital to be enough to lower his charges or at least punishment. Alex won't go to jail but maybe a fine or community service or something, and Deluca will leave with his tail behind his legs.
I don't like the character, I do not think Alex was correct in beating the crp out of him, but this is a tv-show and I would rather have Alex stay on as a character than Deluca.
^This^ I like your version of what could happen. I love Alex and would MUCH rather him on the show than Deluca who brings nothing to the show. I also don't condone what Alex did either beating on Deluca like he did, but I agree Alex bringing Deluca to the hospital himself may work in his favor. Alex is my favorite, always has been (then Derek & Mark), but Alex was my #1 man on this show (ALWAYS). I also think that Alex should dump Jo and I really was pulling for them at one time, but Jo is just too much drama and Alex does NOT need any of her BS ever again! Jo is a lying b!tch, I don't care why she left her husband, she was NEVER honest w/Alex about still being married so for that Alex needs to move on and never turn back.
shareI just saw ep 5 and I loved how Deluca said to Jo that her self-pity gland was enlarged. They might be a good fit for each other, him keeping her grounded and her making him feel a little more special. But off-screen.
I honestly don't understand why it's such a big deal to tell Alex about her marriage. Sure, you don't tell day 1, or day 10, but at some point where you are serious and start to think about spending the rest of your lives together is kind of a moment where these kinds of things need to be discussed. And it will be hard, but if your love is real, you will work through it together. And otherwise just be glad you got rid of that person.
