DeLuca and Jo have much more chemistry and make a better chemistry then Jo and Alex ever have. Maybe we will get lucky, they will break up Jo and Alex and he can find someone more compatible for him. Perhaps Maggie? I don't ever see a Alex or Meredith hook up, although I wouldn't be too opposed to it as friends sometimes make the best couples.

Jo and Andrew will become closer because they are leaning on each other. I'll take anyone for Alex over Jo. I'm hoping the trial and Jo not sharing the info about her husband/former life will end their relationship for good.
I thought Alex and Maggie were going to become a couple when Meredith was away. They had gotten close. The friendship was forgotten after Meredith returned.
I wouldn't mind Meredith and Alex together, but I don't want to see them together over an extended period of time. If it's the last two episodes of the series and they realize their feelings for each other, it would make sense to end with them as a couple.
I agree with the first half of your paragraph - jo and Deluca are a much better couple and anything that gets her away from alex I support 100 percent. But alex and Maggie? Yuck. She is a high school girl apparently trapped in some imaginary world in which they want the audience to believe she's some sort of cardio god. She is on the same maturity plane as Tuck Jr.

At least with Lexie she never really loved Alex, and she was strong enough to to get over it and tell him what a sap he was after being shot crying out for Izzy. Maggie is going to get her heart broken, whine about it and Alex is not her type. Lexie was more mature when she died and she was younger than Maggie is now.
