The guy that was being such a bastard to Alex? I hope someone rips him a new one. He made his career choice. Alex hasn't done or said anything to the guy that suggest he thinks he's above working in the clinic with a nurse. The guy is a jackass. I hope Bailey finds out how he's acting. The clinic was her baby. I can't see her allowing some jackass on a ego trip screw around with something she worked so hard to build.

It would be interesting since they have brought up the clinic to have some kind of rotation that all interns need to spend 1-3 days a month at the clinic (mention even in passing) so of course Delucca would be excluded
Yeah but even if he knows about alex' trouble, that doesn't excuse him from his unprofessional behavior. And just bc Alex can't perform surgery doesn't mean all he can't do more than the nurse. He's still a doctor- he can diagnose, treat, and prescribe meds. Most doctors aren't surgeons. That still doesn't make him a nurse.

How exactly is Alex a world class surgeon?! He's never worked anywhere other than his schoolyard, and barely passed his intern test. He's become a good doctor, but nowhere near World Class level. He'll need some achievement for it but he's never participated or initiated in anything groundbreaking.

We don't know that he didn't barely pass his intern test (George was the one who failed by one point and then retook it), Alex did have to retake his board exams which Meredith, Christina and other helped him to do and as to his attending boards, all we know is he passed the last 2. We don't know if the others aced all three, just that everyone but April "passed" not which ones they passed or failed.
Just about all the Attendings are "world class" since they are at a big fancy hospital that got back their rankings which once was #12, probably now 1 or 2. World Class is probably just a term they decided to use. Only Christina, maybe Owen and AZ could claim that as most of the others all playing in their own backyard
since they were hatched.

He passed his intern test fine. He had trouble with bid practicals, which you take coming out of med school.

My point was simply that the nurse should be happy the chief sent him someone to help out since the clinic was so short staffed- and she sent him a surgeon at that.
sharethe thing that got me was that he wouldn't let alex leave for a very important meeting with his lawyer. like, that is a huge thing that can effect his case and this nurse was acting like alex just wanted to skimp out on work to go play poker with the guys or something....that really, really bothered quite a bit. like alex is trying to be responsible and show he's doing the right thing. but if there's meetings about his case, those are kind of essential. i just don't see why the nurse was so pissy about that.
