i have no idea. i've taken several pregnancy tests in my life and idk why she was so excited prior to taking the test. as a doctor she should know it's important to run the tests and make sure before first jumping to conclusions. also, cycles can be irregular. she was off by like what, three days? so dramatic.

I think Amelia wants another child so bad but is scared because of what happened the last time. Carrying a dead baby inside of you so the organs can be donated takes a lot of strength that most women can't do. I think Ameila just wants this so badly that she was scared of finding out on the chance that she's not actually pregnant.

shareI have girl friends JUST like this and its so annoying. One of my friends seems to think she is pregnant all the time, and she "worries" about it, and mentions it until her period finally comes. Im like..if you are so worried then get on birth control, lawd its exhausting.
sharethe thing that also gets me is that she was all worked up about it and seemingly excited. then owen mentioned converting the study to a nursery or whatever and as she checked the stick, she almost looked relieved by the results. it's not consistent. if she was worried about being pregnant and losing another baby, she wouldn't have been so excited earlier in the episode. it didn't make sense to me.
