Bailey as The Chief

One of the main reasons I think Bailey is terrible in the position as chief is this: when richard was chief, if anyone had a problem, they could go to him. they might get in trouble or a lecture for doing something wrong, but he'd always be fair and kind and do all in his power to help. With Bailey as the Chief, I feel like if someone had a problem, they'd be too scared to go to her for assistance or advice in fear of being yelled at, demeaned, or turned away. To be a cheif, you have to be there for your staff and help them when they need it for the good of the patients and the good of them as doctors, nurses, etc. Bailey isn't that person; and therefore, I believe the doctors and by default, the patients, ultimately suffer.

She's become boring/soft/annoying in this position. I miss the Nazi.

She used to be like that before but has changed for the worse.

she used to be tough, but ultimately you could go to her for help. she might be frustrated, and she might yell but you could. now it's like she's got this "how dare YOU come to ME about this?" when it is her job as chief to be there. she always acts like she is above everyone and that these doctors who are phenomenal surgeons are like bratty high school kids that she has to baby sit. the thing is, when she was "the nazi" she didn't show them respect because they were interns at the time. now though, she's chief, and she's somehow showing even less respect to the surgeons she's supposed to be a mentor and guide to.

What gives Bailey the authority to tell Deluca that he can't talk to anybody at the hospital about the assault case against Alex?
