If Shonda is going to lecture us with "White Privilege" and "Second Chances" then bring Izzie back.
She has said the she was sorry for her behavior, and she is changed. Give her a damn chance. Bring her back.. Alex is never going to be the same without her. She made him human that he is.
I don't care for Izzy or Jo for that matter. Izzy did help humanize Alex, but where he truly starting to thrive was in season 8 and Meredith and AZ and even Christina to an extent was responsible for that. Izzy, like Jo & Ava, his mom and even his dad were people he felt he had to take care of-it was his responsibility. He was there for Meredith when she needed him, but then she told him to leave, she would be fine and to go back to Jo. Alex is a fixer.
He was only truly there and attentive to Izzy during her Cancer. Then she got better, refused his help and concern and just left him. He tried to make sure she was getting treatment elsewhere, but she didn't bother to let him know she was ok. She comes back expecting everything to be rosy and even getting a job at another hospital, but he wanted her there and she refused and left him again. Then filed for divorce. She wouldn't communicate with him and much like now, Jo isn't either
You know what..Im tired of this whole thing. A woman doesn't need a man to have a worthwhile life, and Alex doesn't need Izzy to be a good man. People keep talking about her like she is Alex's one true love. But Alex's one true love is being a great doctor. And he doesn't need Izzy to be a good man.

shareI get what you are saying. But..not everyone wants Izzy back. She treated Alex like CRAP at the end of their relationship. I personally don't want to see her back. I liked her character mostly, but at this point I don't think it would do anything for the show's storylines.
