What is Shonda's plan for Amelia?

It's getting frustrating how Amelia doesn't seem to show any growth. She's acting like a child, hiding from her husband because she's scared of what he'll say when she tells him the truth about her feelings. Also, we've done the whole "Owen wants kids and his wife doesn't" thing. Why are we doing it again?? I just don't see how anyone thought this story line was a good idea.

I want to like her because I really like Caterina Scorsone, but it's just annoying the way this is playing out and dragging on. They've been married for two minutes, it's too soon to have so much drama between them.

What the hell is a Stiles?

Agree. This is a story that doesn't need to be repeated. They did it perfectly with Yang, who made the right choice for her. It was sad because I wanted things to work out for both of them. And it was a realistic way to allow the exit of the character. With Amelia I just don't care. The issue didn't even need to come up yet although I do hope at some point they will give Owen a kid. But it didn't need to be done so soon after they got married.

Caterina had a baby in November 2016, which is around the time they probably began shooting these episodes. I'm guessing this story line is a way to give her some sort of maternity leave without writing off her character. Is it a repeated story line? Absolutely. Unfortunately greys repeats itself all the time. But I'm assuming this is just temporary. In a few weeks she could suddenly decide she wants a baby....or maybe she's already pregnant... or maybe she just decides to stop ignoring her husband.

I agree. Shonda's a pro at ruining characters.
