Did Harry REALLY find that Pie to be soooooo good?

I must confess to being slightly confused re-watching this beautiful conclusion to cinema's greatest Superhero trilogy.

When Harry has just told Peter that he has been boning his strawberry tasting missus, the waitress wonders up and asks him "How's the Pie?". "Soooooooo good" replies Harry. However not twenty seconds later, after giving the crestfallen Peter a cheeky wink, he's completely vanished. Scarpered. Vamooshed!

Not only did he not take one further bite, he absconded without even paying for the pie! It's a very confusing scene. Makes me wonder whether the pie was really sooooooo good at all...

It's a good question. The evidence does suggest he wasn't quite so enamoured with the pie after all...

I believe the pie in this case was metaphorical; rather than the literal pie he was eating, Harry was referring to the strawberry pie of which he took a generous helping after he did the twist. Hence the cheeky wink to Peter before he ducked back to the MJ Café.
