Why didn't the movie had a wide release?

And now that I think of it, why didn't they released it in the summer. The studio could've sold it as the perfect family oriented summer movie.

Bad marketing. It happens all the time. It doesn't matter to me much though. I bought the movie on DVD. :) You're dead soldier. No, Im alive.
