Sorry if this has been mentioned before, I can't possibly go through every subject line, but is this a remake of A Little Romance with Diane Lane? My husband loves that movie, I told him that this seems to be similar. I may be wrong because I haven't actually seen the film in totality, but I've seen bits and pieces on t.v. and the plot seems to have lots of parallels, mainly 2 young kids fall in love in a big city. And the word "little" in the title!
shareNo it is not a remake of A little Romance. They do have very simular stories though. A little Romance is about two thirteen year olds who live in france, the girl is american though and lives there because of her stepfathers job, but the boy and girl meet eachother in france and end falling in love. Little Manhattan is about two ten year olds who end up spending most of their summer vacation together and experience first love. They are both great movies, and defiantly worth seeing.

We just watched Little Manhattan and really liked it a lot. My son is 11, and I noticed he was totally engaged at times when I thought he might pull back a bit, and be cool ... It's a great 'growing up' film.
