i see what you're getting at - I thought it was a crush too, but she showed signs as well - (choosing him to go to the concert, letting him hold her hand, spending afternoons with him) I'ld say it was very very special relationship - and she was confused what to feel. Love is a very strong emotion. i think if she was not transferring and didn't have camp they would get much closer and eventually turn out to be officiall boyfriend and girlfriend in the long run. Remember he was forced to say I love you sooner because he thought he wasn't going to see her again.
sharei was confused too, the first time i saw it i thought it was about rosemary and gabe....but the second time i realized it was about his parents, because in the beginning he says let me tell u a real love story...u kno about the parents and then it kinda goes off to gabe and rosemary and then at the end back to the parents, and he says now thats a real love story cuz the parents got back together and he says something like love stinks or something like that....so the love story is more towards the parents in some way

sharei agree with the person 2 posts above me. i think its supposed to be saying your first love. which is the person you first fall in love with. it doesnt matter if it wasnt returned you still loved them.
