Kids having been having first crushes at the age of 10, and 11 and so on since the start of time it just naturally happens to many kids....now if they were having wild passionate unbridled sex THAT would be creepy. but all they did was have a innocent ordinary date and even at age 11 there isn't anything creepy about that...unless of course you are a pervert.

I agree with you that it's not creepy, but Gabe didn't have a crush on Rosemary, he loved her. Big difference. And you can have your first crushes WAY before your eleven. Take this from a teen- I remember having a crush on someone in Pre-K.

I remember I had my first real crush in 2nd grade. Her name was Kelly Ann. I liked her for probably close to 5 or 6 years until high school came along and we all split up and moved away. She turned into a crazy/scary gothic person. She was so innocent and cute back in elementary school. I now tell myself, "what did I see in her? She never even wanted to hang out with me!" :-)
Before that though, I did like this one girl in pre-school and she liked me back enough too but she moved FAR away after school ended. Come to think of it, I never went through an "icky girls" stage. I've always appreciated the company of a girl/woman.
