I haven't seen a topic about it, so I would like to know what do you think: are the girls -as said in the movie- more mature than boys of same age?
And what about later? I mean, when they are 20-30-etc.
I definitely think women are always -generally speaking- more mature than men.
Any ideas?

Well, I think if you take a look at how many girls act planning for their weddings, that is a level of immaturity that is hard to top. All grooms should really look closely at their intendeds during the wedding planning time and if they act like some I have seen, I would advise the grooms to run away as fast as they possibly can.

As for OP- IMO Maturity is a matter of what responsibilities are thrust upon us and how we handle them,age doesn't make a difference.But if your criteria is seriousness and how one behaves in public then I have seen mature people behave in the most childish manner possible which leaves me in doubt if they are more mature than a person who acts the opposite.
Physical maturity is generally faster in girls so they have a reason to feel mentally more mature than boys of their age at puberty, but mental maturity is quite varied between the sexes. I feel since women have to keep their guard up and society likes women who look mature, we find more women who look mature.
Maturity in itself is quite a big question in our age where people don't stop learning, perpetual education has made us all look like big kids who don't feel like growing up.

The truth is that maturity depends on what kind of education and environment you live in. A 12 year old boy can be a lot more mature than hi 43 year old mother. Or a 11 year old girl can be a lot more mature than certain 50 year old male politicians. Maturity has nothing to do with gender and except for the early years of life (before the onset of puberty) nothing to do with age.

I never claimed to be mature either, I mean when someone says to everyone he/she is mature it actually means that it's an immature conceited snob. A truly mature person doesn't judge and doesn't believe to be better than others unlike so many teachers, lawyers, parents, politicians who clearly wouldn't know maturity even if it hit them in the head.
Well, it has been proved that until a certain age, in mix gender classes girls usually tend to have higher grades. And it's not because they are smarter, it's because they intellectually mature earlier. It's not feminism, it's a scientific fact.

for decades,boys scored higher on tests,so the tests were dismissed as sexist..now that girls are scoring higher,its because boys arent intelectually mature..maturity is more about emotion and conduct than intellect..there are many factors that impact on test scores,including caring about test scores..
males and females arent competitors,theyre collabarators..the quicker we stop asking whos better..the better
