Llanddwyn lighthouse?

I recently visited Newborough on Angelsey,partly because a friend told me "Half-Light"was filmed there.It is truly a beautiful place especially the Llanddwyn lighthouse,however comparing the holiday snaps with the movie,I see that it is over twice as tall on screen!
I am curious to know whether the lighthouse used to be taller(when it was in use),or whether the film producers added some CGI to make it more spectacular?...Hopefully someone can satiate my curiosity! Many thanks.

Yes, they filmed on Llanddwyn island and used CGI to make the lighthouse taller.

The CGI when Demi and the ghost stood on the balcony and the camera zoomed out was quite bad.
