Remember when Horror Films were Terrifying and not vomit inducing?

Ah...the good ol' days of horror, the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's and heck, even some of the 80's.

We were presented with Dracula, Frankenstein, the Mummy, the Creature...then Jason, Michael, Freddy, Leatherface, Chucky...

And then we got this piece of pure garbage that has no redeeming value, no entertainment value, it has nothing.

I agree with some of the posters on here who ask: a) who watches this for fun? b) why would someone make this?

I saw 25 mins because I was curious - and it was stilted, drab, boring, and grotesque. I watched a few, fast forward, watched more, fast forward - this was just disgusting and bad.

Its a shame that so-called 'filmmakers' make $ off garbage like this. This isn't horror, its horrible. And its sad, very sad - this is what 'talent' makes nowadays? Evereything this August Underground group puts out looks like garbage that I wouldn't waste my time with - what is it with the rape and torture of women?

Yeah I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, but wasnt aware I was going to be watching a scat fetish film. It wasnt disturbing or terrifying -- just disgusting. No thanks.

Gore does not make a movie bad. This movie is a complete piece of trash, but I can list many gory, "vomit inducing" films which are excellent. It has nothing to do with "nowadays" in fact, as far as horror goes I'd say movies have gotten better with time.

Also, most of the movies you listed suck.

I'd have to disagree with that. There are some good modern horror films yes but many don't have the flair that the old films captured.

I only saw a bit of this film, didn't really find it that sick but more boring - I know it was going for the captured on the camera real look but it meant it just looked crap, had no professional qualities and just dragged on.

Gore can be good in horror films, but for me only if it serves a purpose. Too many films of today think gore is the answer and just gore - basically horror films have been reduced to just scenes of violence, torture, gore etc with no actual substance, plot, reason etc in between them - violence used to be there for a reason, it used to be there for the story to move ahead, now the story is there to show the violence and usually there isn't a story at all.

Dawn of the Dead, Suspiria - 2 of my favourite horror films that do have violence in them, but both work, have a story. Suspiria is very artistic, shot beautifully but it can still scare people. This is the opposite.
